How the state-aware approach works

StampPaper does not ship 36 static Word templates. It ships one professionally structured agreement engine plus an independent configuration entry for every state and union territory. The configuration decides which agreement types are offered, which questions appear, which clauses are added, and what the document is called.

There is no single prescribed format

No claim is made that any state prescribes one mandatory rental format. What varies between jurisdictions is stamp duty, registration practice, terminology (for example, leave and licence in Maharashtra), and local execution workflow. The agreement text here is a professionally structured template, adapted by those jurisdiction rules.

Every legal rule is versioned

Each jurisdiction entry carries status, summary, sourceTitle, sourceUrl, and lastVerified. When a rule is not source-verified, the app shows “Verify current stamp duty” instead of a number. Stamp duty amounts are never invented, and demo formulas are labelled as demo.

Model Tenancy Act

The central Model Tenancy Act is a model framework circulated to states. It is not automatically applicable nationwide; a state must adopt and notify its own legislation or rules. It is referenced here as context, not as the governing law of your agreement.

Current verification status

0 of 36 jurisdictions currently have source-verified stamp rules in this build. Richer demonstration configurations exist for Haryana, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Karnataka; all other jurisdictions are supported with generic residential and commercial drafting and legal fields marked needs-review.
